Walrus tells the remarkable story of David Garrick (also known as Walrus Oakenbough), an eco-warrior, journalist and mystic whose work helped shape the environmental movement on the West Coast. The book traces his decades of environmental advocacy, his collaborations with First Nations communities, and his years living off the grid on Hanson Island.
