Calling all young authors! It’s time to submit your most spine-tingling terrifying tale! This youth writing contest begins September 17 and runs until October 17 at 6pm.
The age groups are 8-10 years, 11-14 years, and 15-18 years with winners from each age group on Quadra Island receiving a published copy of the “Terrifying Tales” book. A copy of this years ‘Terrifying Tales” will also be added to the Library collection.
Contest Rules;
Limit of 800 words per story, with the theme “Terrifying”.
Limit of one story per writer.
Story must be an original piece of your own work. No AI use or plagiarism.
Individual entries only! Group or class submissions will not be accepted.
All submissions must be sent by email, in the body of the email, to the Quadra Island Library – quadraisland@virl.bc.ca
