Following the Provincial Medical Health Officer orders, masks are now recommended — and appreciated — when visiting the library. This is in addition to physical distancing, occupancy limits, and other safety measures.
A properly worn mask covers your nose and mouth at all times. Masks are available. Speak to a member of staff.
The Woss Library is open! Customers are welcome to come inside the branch, a maximum of six people at a time. A public computer can now be used for up to 60 minutes.
We are pleased to welcome one customer, or two people from the same bubble, to relax in the adult reading area.
There are no fines or late fees at this time. Fines may appear on your account while we process your items. Please ignore them; they will be be removed from your account.
About the Branch
The land on which we gather is the unceded traditional territory of the Kwakwaka’wakw peoples, specifically the Namgis nation, whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
The Woss library was originally staffed by volunteers for one hour a week in the old kindergarten building. The library branch moved to its current location in 2001.
The new Woss Library building opens on December 18, 2020!
