Quadra Island

Following the Provincial Health Authority Recommendations, there is an expectation for you to wear a mask when visiting the library. This is in addition to physical distancing, occupancy limits, and other safety measures.

Masks are available if you would like one.

Welcome back! You can browse the library shelves and use our public computers again once again during our new Sit Down Service hours. We will be limiting the number of customers in the branch. Please ensure you practice social distancing and sanitize your hands before entering and leaving the library.

If you bring your library card, you can use the touchless self-checkout! Two computers are available for public use.  We look forward to seeing you soon!

About the Branch

We respectfully acknowledge that this branch is situated on the unceded traditional territory of the Laichwiltach peoples, specifically the Wei Wai Kai First Nation, whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day. The Quadra Island library branch opened in 1988. Before this, Quadra Island enjoyed library service through the Comox bookmobile. The library branch was then located on Cramer Road in Heriot Bay but relocated in 2012 to a comfortable new facility at 654 Harper Road, Quathiaski Cove in the Cove Centre Mall.
