Join us at the Parksville library for a poetry reading featuring Kamal Parmar, poet laureate of Nanaimo (2021-2024), reading from A Silent Serenade. Following the reading, the audience is invited to participate in an open mic celebrating local voices.
Writers of all ages are encouraged to bring a short piece of original writing—whether poetry, fiction, or creative non-fiction—to share during the open mic. Authors who have books to promote are also welcome to bring copies to sell.
Everyone is welcome to drop-by for this free event. It will be held in the City of Parksville’s forum, which is located across the hall from the library. Snacks and beverages will be served.
