DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Parksville library for a poetry reading featuring Kamal Parmar\, poet laureate of Nanaimo (2021-2024)\, reading from A Silent Serenade. Following the reading\, the audience is invited to participate in an open mic celebrating local voices. \nWriters of all ages are encouraged to bring a short piece of original writing—whether poetry\, fiction\, or creative non-fiction—to share during the open mic. Authors who have books to promote are also welcome to bring copies to sell. \nEveryone is welcome to drop-by for this free event. It will be held in the City of Parksville’s forum\, which is located across the hall from the library. Snacks and beverages will be served.
