Join Dayna Davis and Monica Nawrocki for a four session writing workshop exploring the creation of poetry and flash fiction. All levels of experience are welcome. Sessions will include writing tips, creativity exercises and structured writing.
Come prepared to write, respond to the writing of others and share your writing if you wish. Bring your writing tools and your love of words.

Monica Nawrocki
In addition to three novels for children and youth, Monica has published a collection of poetry, flash fiction and short stories called Island Time. Other short fiction has appeared in various journals in North America and the U.K.
Monica’s hobbies include thinking about words, playing with words, engaging in wordplay with others, talking about words, and reading. Also swimming, (whilst thinking about words).
Dayna Davis
After 30 years of inspiring poetry in her students, Dayna is now publishing her own work in various journals and anthologies. Her poem “Twitch With Life” received honorable mention in the 2023 Van Isle Poetry Collective competition and will appear in their upcoming summer edition.
Dayna is currently preparing her first full length poetry collection, The Understory, for publication.
