Spring Break 2026: Tweets and Tunes

celebrates the joyful connection between birds and music

March 9 – April 2, 2026

For children 0-12 years old

Looking for fun, family-friendly activities this spring break? Your library has you covered. This year, our spring break theme is Tweets and Tunes, which celebrates the joyful connection between birds and music. Whether through participating in our scavenger hunt, picking a book from our recommended booklist, or checking your local branch for themed events and crafts, children can have fun, explore how nature and sound are interconnected, observe birds in their natural habitats, listen closely to the world around them, and connect to learning beyond the library walls.

The Spring Break Scavenger Hunt kicks of March 9 and runs until April 2. Children 0-12 years old can participate for the chance to win a pair of Lee Valley Binoculars. Download a copy of the Scavenger Hunt here and review the information below on how to get started.

Be sure to check out our spring break reading list, and don’t forget to look at our events calendar or pop by your local branch for more ways to celebrate Spring Break 2026. You can also take a look at our Resource Guide to find great sites for bird watching around the island.
