We are thrilled to be hosting local author sister-duo Janet Miller and Linda K. Thompson for a reading here at the Comox library! They will each read their individual works separately. Refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome to attend this free event.

Janet Miller’s children’s book Cross My Heart was published in 2002. Her stories have been widely published and she is currently working on a novel. She lives on Gabriola Island in the Salish Sea. Janet is a long-time member of the Comox Valley Writers Society, the Federation of BC Writers and The Writers Union of Canada.

Janet will read from her current manuscript about a man who cannot be trusted, a kindly other-realm-like being, and a girl who has lost her bearings.

Linda’s chapbook Four Small People in Sturdy Shoes and poetry book Black Bears in the Carrot Field (Mother Tongue Publishing, 2021) pin her poems’ puny homesick characters against the walloping landscape of British Columbia.

At present, Linda is working on a full-length manuscript about murder, mayhem and mis-guided matrimony.
