April is National Poetry Month! And for this National Poetry Month we here at Campbell River Library are having a little poetry contest for those between 11-18!inting of the winner desires.
- – Open to tweens and teens age 11-18, with prizes for a winner in the 11-14 and 15-18 age group.
- – Entries should be in English
- – Entries can range from a haiku to ~500 words
- – Entries should be EMAILED to CRINFO@VIRL.BC.CA; please put the poem in the text box of the email with your desired formatting.
- –> If you happen to have done a poem with a lot of visual elements or that for some reason can’t be typed up, email the same address above to let me know and we’ll figure out how specifically to get it in. But by default, just type it right into the email.
- –> PLEASE INCLUDE: Full name; age; a reliable way to contact you; library card number if you have one.
- Poems should be new poems written for the contest, and must be the individual’s own work.
- Contest ends on April 30th 2024
