Calling all young authors! It’s time to submit your most spine-tingling terrifying tale! This youth writing contest begins September 17 and runs until October 17 at 6pm.
The age groups are 8-10 years, 11-14 years, and 15-18 years with winners from each age group in Gold River receiving a published copy of the “Terrifying Tales” book. A copy of this years ‘Terrifying Tales” will also be added to the Library collection.
Contest Rules;
- Limit of 800 words per story, with the theme “Terrifying”.
- Limit of one story per writer.
- Story must be an original piece of your own work. No AI use or plagiarism.
- Individual entries only! Group or class submissions will not be accepted.
All submissions must be sent by email, in the body of the email, to the Gold River Library – goldriver@virl.bc.ca
