Join us for the latest meeting of Reader’s Choice book club!
This July we are meeting at 6pm on Monday July 27th at Maffeo Sutton Park (100 Comox Rd). We’ll gather in the same spot as last time, in the grassy area between the Nanaimo Lions Pavilion and the playground, hopefully with a picnic table. If you’re able, bring a lawn chair, pillow, or blanket to sit on. (Some will be provided if you can’t bring your own, not to worry).
Want to talk about what you’re reading but don’t want to be told what to read? This is the book club for you!
If you attended one of previous meetings, bring along your reading prompt list and what you’ve been reading. If this is your first time, bring your current or recent read to share with the group. See an image of the reading prompt list below and pick up your copy at the meeting.
You can read any book that fits any prompt, whatever month you want. Then you can compare notes with bookish friends at our meetings! The idea is to have fun parameters to help you decide what to read next, but not to force you to read anything you don’t want to.
Snacks and drinks to share will be provided by the library.
