Join us at the Wellington Library for some Spring Break fun! Your mission: build the strongest bridge you can with only 100 craft sticks and white glue! Drop in on March 18th or 19th between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM and put your engineering skills to the test. Ages 6 to 14 welcome. Caregiver participation is required for children aged 11 and under. All materials provided.
Bring your completed bridge to the space outside of Nanaimo Science in Country Club Centre on April 12th between 12:00 and 2:00PM for our Bridge Demolition competition! With the help of Nanaimo Science and the BC Society of Engineering and Geoscience, we will test the maximum load that each bridge can handle until failure. Please note that all bridges will be destroyed during the competition.
