Join us for the latest evening meeting of Reader’s Choice book club!
This August we are having an evening meeting at 6pm on Tuesday August 25th at the Milton Street Public House (247 Milton St, Nanaimo). Please email NanaimoHarbourfront@virl.bc.ca to save your spot and help me make sure the reservation is for the right amount of people. Then, meet us at the restaurant!
Want to talk about what you’re reading but don’t want to be told what to read? This is the book club for you!
If you attended one of previous meetings, bring along your reading prompt list and what you’ve been reading. If this is your first time, bring your current or recent read to share with the group. See an image of the reading prompt list below and pick up your copy at the meeting.
You can read any book that fits any prompt, whatever month you want. Then you can compare notes with bookish friends at our meetings! The idea is to have fun parameters to help you decide what to read next, but not to force you to read anything you don’t want to.
Snacks to share will be provided by the library. If you’re able, please buy some drinks or food to support Milton Street Public House for hosting us.
