The Creativity Commons has 3 meeting rooms available. Email cc@virl.bc.ca or call 1-877-415-VIRL (8475) to request a booking.

Booking a Meeting Space
Rooms may be booked up to three months in advance and up to 2 uses per month. Meeting rooms are booked on a first-come first-served basis.
Groups are not allowed to sell products, exchange money, or charge admission for events on library property.
Permission to use VIRL facilities does not imply any endorsement of the aims, policies, or activities of any group or individual.
Library use is always a priority for any of the rooms we book. VIRL reserves the right to cancel a room booking should the space be required for library purposes.
FAQs
Is there a fee to book a meeting room?
There is no fee for community or non-profit groups. A fee of $30/hour is applied to for-profit organizations.
Can I book a meeting space more often than twice a month?
Community groups are able to book a room twice a month, though exceptions can be made by the library manager of the Creativity Commons branch for groups providing an community event.
Please submit a written request to the Library Manager of the Creativity Commons that outlines:
- Dates of booking request
- Room request
- A brief description of the meeting group
- How the booking will benefit the community
Requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Room bookings and dates may not be guaranteed.
Can I bring food and drinks into the meeting space?
Closed containers may be brought into meeting spaces. Limited food may be brought and must be cleaned up in entirety before leaving the space.
Can I drop in to the branch and book a meeting space?
Drop ins are accepted if a suitable meeting room is available.
