Silent book clubs are all the rage! Otherwise known as “Introvert Happy Hour” silent book clubs have sprung up around the world. Here’s how it works:
- bring your own book OR your library card so you can borrow one
- arrive between 3:00 and 3:30, find a seat, get a cup of tea, borrow a book if you need to and settle in
- shut up and silent read between 3:30 and 4:30
- 4:30 to 5:00 chat, socialize, talk about what you’re reading,…whatever! OR keep silent reading until 5:00!
From the website Silent Book Club:
Silent Book Club is a global community of readers with 2,200+ chapters in 70 countries. There’s no assigned reading — it’s bring your own book.
More than a million members gather in person, online, and in destinations around the world to read together and swap stories. All readers are welcome!
