Hosting book clubs is easier with book club
sets at the library.
Book clubs are able to borrow totes filled with up to 12 copies of one title and a discussion chart, allowing members to read a copy of the same book at the same time. The best part? It’s free!
To begin, a registered library user needs to apply for a book club card. Once the user has the card, requests can be placed on any title in our Book Club Collection (use the Available Now filter to see ones that are checked in). Members can have up to 10 requested holds for sets at one time.
The sets can also be seen in person. Most of the sets are housed at the Nanaimo North branch with smaller numbers kept at the Cowichan (Duncan), Nanaimo Harbourfront, and South Cowichan (Mill Bay) branches.
