Job Description:

People & Culture is where people, systems, and values come together — and we’re looking for a Coordinator, People & Culture to help keep it all running smoothly.

This role offers broad exposure to HR operations, recruitment and onboarding, HR systems, and organizational initiatives in a unionized public-sector environment.

You’ll work across multiple HR functions, with the opportunity to build strong systems, improve processes, and see the impact of your work across the organization.

What you’ll do

  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for unionized and exempt positions
  • Prepare job postings, support interview processes, conduct reference checks, and prepare offer letters
  • Coordinate orientation, training, and professional development activities
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the HRIS, maintaining accurate data and preparing reports
  • Support benefits administration, employee records, and People & Culture intranet content
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across People & Culture programs and processes

What you bring

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant administrative or coordination experience (unionized environment preferred)
  • Experience coordinating recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Experience working with an HRIS or HR database
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment
