What’s our elf getting up to in our photo? Create a caption for the chance to win our Give Library Caption This Contest.

How it works:

Create a caption for our photo and share it in the comment section of our “Caption This” contest post on our Vancouver Island Regional Library + Fans Facebook page between Tuesday, December 10, 2024 and Monday, December 16, 2024 at 11:59 pm.

Multiple entries are allowed, but a winner can only win a prize once.

Entries will be judged by Vancouver Island Regional Library staff and the winners (for first, second and third place) will be notified by direct message on Facebook. The winners will also be announced on Vancouver Island Regional Library + Fans page the week of December 16, 2024.

Please be aware that Vancouver Island Regional Library staff will never ask you to click on a link to claim your prize or share sensitive information. 

First place prize

Who can enter:

There are no age restrictions to this contest, but children under the age of 14 must receive the consent of their parent or guardian in order to claim the prize.

Entrants MUST LIVE within the Vancouver Island Regional Library service area to be considered as a winner and must be able to pick up their prize at their local Vancouver Island Regional Library branch.

Vancouver Island Regional Library employees and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter and win.

What you can win:

Second place prize

First place: A booklover’s gift bag that includes a bookshelf toque (one size), a library market tote bag, a library card bookmark, reading pin, book nerd socks (large), I love my library VIRL mug and a Give Library card (valued at approx. $103)

Second place: An I love my library VIRL tote, This is How We Roll book cart pin, library card book mark, VIRL mug and Give Library Card (value approx. $44)

Third place: A I love my library VIRL tote, a VIRL mug and Give Library card (value approx. $20)

By entering this contest, you agree to have your name published on platforms owned by Vancouver Island Regional Library, such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, the website and our e-newsletter.

You agree to by the official rules and the decisions of Vancouver Island Reginal Library as it relates to the contest, which shall be final in all respects.

VIRL reserves the right to refuse, withdraw or disqualify any entry at any time at its sole discretion.

Winners claim their prize within 15 days of initial attempted contact. If the original winner cannot be contacted within that time frame, a secondary prize winner will be chosen.

All entries become the property of VIRL.
