Win a VIP tour of the new Sooke branch (and a VIRL book bag for you and a friend) by telling us what you are most excited for with the new library. Answer the question in the comment section of our giveaway post on the VI Regional Library Sooke Facebook page to enter.

Giveaway Dates

The giveaway starts February 15 and ends at 11:59 p.m. February 17, 2022. The winner will be contacted on Friday, February 18 and announced on social media before March 01, 2022.

How to enter

• Answer the question in the post.
• No purchase necessary. Adults 18+ can enter. One entry per person.
• Entrants must live within the Sooke service area to be considered and must be able to do the VIP tour on Wednesday, February 23, 2022.
• The winner may be required to answer a skill-testing question in order to claim the prize.
• One (1) winner will be chosen at random from the entries on the Sooke Facebook page. The draw will happen on February 18. The winner will be notified by private message on Facebook and announced on our Sooke Facebook page.
• Employees of Vancouver Island Regional Library and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter the draw.

Prize

A VIP tour of the new Sooke branch on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, prior to it opening to the general public for the winner and a friend. At this time, the tour is expected to take place at 4 p.m. but the time is subject to change depending on the availability of staff.

A cotton VIRL book bag for the winner and a friend (value: $14)

By entering this contest, you agree to have your name published on platforms owned by Vancouver Island Regional Library, such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, the website and our e-newsletter.

You agree to by the official rules and the decisions of Vancouver Island Reginal Library as it relates to the draw, which shall be final in all respects.

VIRL reserves the right to refuse, withdraw or disqualify any entry at any time at its sole discretion.

The winner must be available on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 in order to get a VIP tour of the new Sooke library (expected to open to the general public next week). If the winner cannot be reached in time for the tour or is not available for the tour, a secondary prize winner will be contacted.

All entries become the property of VIRL.
