Multicultural Literacy Kits

Our Multicultural Literacy Kits are inspired by a young Metis girl who wanted to read stories about her culture and background with her grandmother. The kits are designed to help parents and caregivers engage with their children through books, songs and games – all in their own language and about their own culture!

Each kit has a combination of age-appropriate books, DVDs, CDs, toys, and activities, all gathered up in a small backpack. We know that kids learn best by exploring and playing – these kits give them the chance to do this in their family’s language of origin.
