Starting March 24, Lynda.com will be upgraded to LinkedIn Learning! Questions? Read below for answers.
Why is this change happening?
This change is happening because LinkedIn has acquired Lynda.com and is rebranding the service.
Do I need a LinkedIn account to access the service?
No, you will continue to log-in with your library barcode and pin number.
Will the same materials from LinkedIn Learning be available on Lynda.com?
Yes, LinkedIn Learning will include all of the material from Lynda.com, in addition to new material not available on Lynda.com. A selection of courses will be available in French, German, Japanese, Spanish, Mandarin, and Portuguese, as well as in English.
When will the change happen? Will the service be available that day?
Lynda.com will switch over to Lynda.com on March 24. The service will be down for at least part of the day.
Will my data move from Lynda.com to LinkedIn Learning?
Yes, provided you sign-in with the same card number and PIN, all of your data (history, certificates, etc) will transfer over.
How do I access LinkedIn Learning?
The link on our webpage will be updated to the address for the new service. If you have the page bookmarked, you will have to update your bookmark.
The LinkedIn Learning app has not yet been released; until it is available, access will be through the web browser only.
Will the interface change?
Yes, the interface will be updated along with the branding change to LinkedIn Learning. The new LinkedIn Learning interface is very similar to the Lynda.com interface.
