In Our Own Teen Voice Winners

September 29, 2022

Vancouver Island Regional Library would like to belatedly congratulate all of the teen authors who participated in the In Our Own Teen Voice anthology and writing contest this year!

This is the seventh year that the library has partnered with Rebel Mountain Press of Nanoose Bay to promote the contest and provide prize money to the winners of each category. This year’s theme was teen issues, and we had 90 submissions. The judges spent countless hours choosing 54 entries to be published in the anthology, now in our collection. Books can also be purchased directly from Rebel Mountain Press.

On Sunday, October 2, from 2-4pm, the Nanaimo North branch will host an author reading.Stop by to listen to talented teens read their original stories and poetry.
