Don’t miss these FREE comics workshops in select communities with Canadian artist Renée Nault. The events are a partnership with the Vancouver Comic Arts Festival.

Starting a Comics Journal (adults and teens 13+)

Join Renée Nault for this free comic journaling workshop!

Recording your day in words and pictures is fun and therapeutic. Whether it’s for an audience, or just for yourself, comics are a wonderful way to remember and communicate our experiences. Learn how to start a comics journal and begin telling your story!

Campbell River – At the branch Saturday, September 24, from 3-4 pm. *This event requires registration*

Courtenay – Sunday, September 25 from 2:45-3:45 pm *This event requires registration*

Parksville – The Forum: Parksville Civic and Technology Centre. Monday, September 26 from 6:30-7:30 pm. *Seating is limited and event is drop in.*

Put Yourself in a Comic! (kids 7-12yrs)

Join artist Renée Nault for a free comics workshop where kids can learn how to draw a comic book and make themselves into the main character! They will learn about panels, word balloons, effects and get started on making comics.

*This workshop is drop-in for all three communities*
