Bella Coola
The land on which this library stands is the territory of the Nuxalk Nation whose relationship with the land continues to this day. The Bella Coola library branch officially opened on April 9, 1981, in a tiny room with a collection of 4,000 books. In 1985, the library expanded when it took over the site of the old bank. It opened at its new location in the Co-op building in 2012 and is an important community resource for residents of every age.
COVID 19
Following changes to Provincial Medical Health Officer orders, masks are no longer required when visiting the library, but you can wear one if you’d like.
