ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Peter Mackillop has had an interest and appreciation of plants most of his life. Having watched both his grandmother and mother garden he enjoyed being in the gardens they created. Then with having his own yard with his partner he was able to learn by doing. With two big yard designs over the last 30 years, experimenting with many plant types he was able to find his passion with growing a cottage garden and raising vegetables. Becoming a Master Gardener he has expanded his knowledge and increased his interest in gardening.
ABOUT VIMGA:
The Vancouver Island Master Gardeners Association (VIMGA) is a chapter of the Master Gardeners Association, an international service society of specially trained volunteers who teach science-based sustainable gardening practices to home gardeners. VIMGA is one of the 5 chapters in the British Columbia Association and partnering with the Victoria chapter, specializes in the stewardship of Vancouver Island’s unique environment.
