About the Author

Lynda Gray is a proud member of the Ts’msyen Nation from the Northwest Coast of BC (Gisbutwada/Killerwhale Clan). Raised in East Vancouver, Lynda has spent her life deeply connected to her community, her culture, and her family. As the mother of two adult children—artist Phil Gray and Dr. Robin R.R. Gray—she has cultivated her knowledge of Ts’msyen traditions and language through her active involvement with the Lax Xeen Ts’msyen Dance Group and her participation in traditional feasts in Lax Kw’alaams.

Since 2018, Lynda has also been actively learning her ancestral language and has become a passionate speaker and educator on a variety of Indigenous topics.

  • Holistic health and wellness
  • The impact of the Indian Act and mandatory residential school attendance
  • Colonial history and its lasting effects on Indigenous communities
