News and Stories

During October Library Month we are celebrating 90 years of service across Vancouver Island, Haida Gwaii and the Central Coast while also looking ahead to the next 90.

As part of the celebration, we are launching a three-part Library Month Giveaway Challenge for our library community.

Throughout the month we’ll share three challenges on our Vancouver Island Regional Library + Fans Facebook page. Answer the question in each challenge and be entered into a draw for the chance to win one of four bookish prize packs. You can answer once per challenge, giving you four potential chances to win.

The draw will happen on October 30.

Challenge dates: The Library Month Giveaway Challenge starts on Friday, October 9. A new challenge will appear on Friday, October 16 and Friday October 23. The giveaway closes at 11:59 pm on Thursday, October 29.

How to enter and eligibility:

Write a valid answer in the comments that meets the question or challenge shared in the post on Vancouver Island Regional Library + Fans.

No purchase necessary. One entry per person per post.

Entrants must be 18 years of age or over, live within the Vancouver Island Regional Library service area and must be able to pick up their prize at their local branch to enter this draw.
