Summer eReading for Teens with OverDrive and Teen Book Cloud
School’s out for summer, and many students are excited to read a book that isn’t assigned by a teacher. By high school, most students have their own smart phones or other devices, perfect for accessing our eBook and eAudiobook collections from anywhere with an internet connection.
Our main e-collection, OverDrive, includes over 2500 YA eBooks and Audiobooks, as well as many adult books that are of interest to teens. Access using your library card and the Libby app for iOS and Android. Readers with dyslexia will appreciate the option to switch any book into easier-to-read dyslexic font, while many readers will like being able to download books to read or listen on the go.
Teen Book Cloud is an always-available YA collection with no holds, waits, or checkouts. It includes YA novels, graphic novels, and classics in eBook and eAudiobook formats. English language learners will appreciate the Enhanced eBooks, which are an eBook and eAudiobook in one! Teen Book Cloud is available in an internet browser through our website or through the Tumble Book Cloud iOS app.
Although they are most popular with adults, our electronic collections are great for teens. eBooks are an engaging format for those who are most comfortable reading on a screen, while eAudiobooks allow teens to enjoy reading while engaged in other activities like taking transit, exercising, or doing chores.
