The library is a hub for free resources, but we also have great technology you can use for a small fee, including our book-binding machine.
The Espresso Book Machine, at the Creativity Commons in Nanaimo, can print, bind, and trim paperback books with full colour covers (and it works fast. Often, able to start and finish a book in eight minutes!).
Most often it is used for memoirs, poetry books, novels, cookbooks, and journals. Use it to create a custom book for yourself or create one as a gift. The machine can hold between 49-800 pages for each book.
To start, check out what you’ll need to send the team at the Creativity Commons and review our pricing guide here.
Did you want to try creating a journal? We have a guide for that.
The team at the Creativity Commons is a great resource. If you have questions about printing or would like a quote, please contact cc@virl.bc.ca or call 1-250-753-1154 ext. 251.
