Top YA and Children’s Titles of 2024

The results are in! We have tallied up the children’s titles and young adult novels that Vancouver Island Regional Library users have checked out the most in 2024 to come up with the highly-anticipated top 10 lists for the year.
Captain Underpants and the Sensational Saga of Sir Stinks-a-Lot took the No.1 spot for children’s titles for the second year and Dog Man, the part-dog, part-man superhero created by Dav Pilkey, cracked the top 10 for the third consecutive year.
Suzanne Collins’ dystopian fiction The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes also returned to the top spot along with other favourites like Heartstopper, Firekeeper’s Daughter and The Cruel Prince.
