Program description:

Workshop Two: Object Writing

Whether it’s a treasured heirloom or a familiar everyday object, the things around us can inspire rich and emotional stories. Discover how material objects can be the foundation to build a story or lead to interesting new writing. Participants will be asked to bring an object (or a photograph of an object) that has a high emotional value and will be guided to write about the object through structured questions.

Participants will have an opportunity to discuss their work and ask questions and will be provided with resources for further learning and information. Registrants are required to bring: An object or photograph of an object that has emotional value. It can be an everyday item, treasured heirloom, or sentimental gift. Bring something to write with (notebook and pen; tablet or laptop).
