ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Jacqueline Sherk: A ten-year veteran master gardener, Jacqueline Sherk has a two-year diploma in horticulture technology from Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Langley, BC. Before moving to Vancouver Island, Jacqueline operated a landscaping business in the lower mainland for 12 years. She has two national industry certifications through the Canadian Nursery and Landscape Association: one in Softscape Installation and another in Ornamental Maintenance. Jacqueline is also a certified arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture for the past 10 years with additional accreditation in tree risk assessment.
ABOUT VIMGA:
The Vancouver Island Master Gardeners Association (VIMGA) is a chapter of the Master Gardeners Association, an international service society of specially trained volunteers who teach science-based sustainable gardening practices to home gardeners. VIMGA is one of the 5 chapters in the British Columbia Association and partnering with the Victoria chapter, specializes in the stewardship of Vancouver Island’s unique environment.
