Join David Hobson as he explores how the English language was really developed before and after the Norman Conquest of 1066. Over two Saturdays, discover origins of words and the amusing stories behind them. If you’re a lover of words, reading, history, or language, this event is for you!

David Hobson is a retired high school teacher of German and French who lives on Gabriola. This presentation is based on a course that David delivers at Elder College in Nanaimo.
