Join us for a special Family Literacy pop-up StoryWalk at Seabroom Park!
Take a stroll through the park while enjoying this year’s theme: “Learn to Be Green Together.” Along the way, you’ll read and reflect on the featured story, Minnow: The Girl Who Became Part Fish, written by Métis author Willie Poll and illustrated by bailey macabre, a Cree, Métis, and Ukrainian artist.
We’re excited to be joined by the Friends of Sooke Parks as we explore Minnow’s journey to becoming a water protector and discuss ways we can care for the environment.
Family Literacy Week is celebrated across Canada from January 26 to February 2, encouraging adults and children to read and learn together. This year’s theme, “Learn to Be Green Together,” invites families to discover eco-friendly habits like using less electricity, commuting together, or reusing items.
Come join the fun, and let’s learn to be green together!
