Cowichan South Arts Guild, with the support of the League of Canadian Poets, is hosting a Poetry Party to celebrate Poetry Month! Come together to write and listen to poetry in an inclusive space.
10 – 11am
Workshop: Writing Prompts and Exercises
We’ll have fun experimenting with different styles of poems and verse forms, both traditional and contemporary.
11am – 12pm
Poetry Reading
There will be a reading by the host and other guest poets plus everyone will have a chance to share the poems they’ve written. You are welcome to bring a favourite poem by an poet to read at this time.
Snacks and writing materials will be provided. Just bring your imagination, sense of humour, and love for language!
