Join us for the third session of the Winter/Spring 2020 Philosopher’s Cafe series. In April, VIU instructor Aidan Collier will be leading us in debate and discussion. The topic is perspective and political polarization.

Politics is full of deep and hostile disagreements. Are they rooted in different ways of viewing the world – through objective or subjective lenses? By understanding these contrasting perspectives, can we develop more effective political discourse?

Aidan Collier studied philosophy at UBC and UVic, and he teaches part time at VIU. His philosophical interests include ethical and political issues concerning sport or media consumption.
