Join us for the second session of the Winter 2020 Philosopher’s Cafe series. In March, VIU professor Joanne Falvai will be leading us in debate and discussion. The topic is merging worlds in prison. Prison walls not only keep people in, but also keep them out. Through organized activities and courses, can we bring people together from either side of these walls and transform their respective experiences?

Joanne Falvai is a faculty member in Criminology and the director of the Inside Out Prison Exchange Program at VIU. Inside Out offers university courses to students both incarcerated and non incarcerated , who learn together at the prison.
