Introducing Rosie, our new library assistant!

Paws and Tales is a reading program for kids ages 6 and up. Young readers can bring a book and sign up for a 20-minute reading session with Rosie, a certified therapy dog from the Pacific Animal Therapy Society.

Rosie is a patient and friendly listener who loves stories and meeting new friends. This program helps children practice reading aloud with a comforting companion, build confidence, and make reading a fun experience.

To register, visit the branch or call 250-642-3022 to book a 20-minute slot. An adult must accompany each child.

The Pacific Animal Therapy Society has been providing compassionate pet therapy to Vancouver Islanders for over 35 years.

(Note: Rosie is the one wearing a scarf; her human is Barb.)
