DESCRIPTION:Introducing Carlie\, 0ne of our furry library assistants! \nPaws and Tales is a reading program for kids ages 7 and up. Young readers can bring a book and sign up for a 20-minute reading session with Carlie\, a certified therapy dog from the Pacific Animal Therapy Society. \nCarlie is a patient and friendly listener who loves stories and meeting new friends. This program helps children practice reading aloud with a comforting companion\, build confidence\, and make reading a fun experience. \nTo register\, visit the branch or call 250-642-3022 to book a 20-minute slot. An adult must accompany each child. \nThe Pacific Animal Therapy Society has been providing compassionate pet therapy to Vancouver Islanders for over 35 years. \n
