An old film with a movie on the roll.

Join us at the Harbourfront Library every Friday afternoon for a selection of thought-provoking Canadian cinema, courtesy of our National Film Board.

On July 26, we will screen the 2015 documentary Pipelines, Power and Democracy, which explores the expansion of Canada’s oil sands industry—one of the most polluting on the planet—and the huge environmental challenge it represents. This documentary demonstrates that when it comes to fossil fuels, political power doesn’t always lie where we think it does.

The show starts at 2pm.
