
Are you interested in seeing art in action? Visiting artist Dean Bauche will be at the Comox library working on a painting! Drop by and see how his piece progresses. Dean is happy to chat and answer any questions you may have relating to his technique and painting process.

Dean Bauche is a cultural consultant, professional artist, curator, educator and adjudicator. He has 40 years of cultural and Gallery experience as a consultant, Director of Galleries for the City of North Battleford and the Director/ Curator of the Allen Sapp Gallery.
Bauche works in both traditional and new media including: acrylic, copper, but is best known for his evocative portraits in oil, water colour and encaustic.
His work has won many awards and can be found in national publications as well as private and public collections across Canada including the collection of former Prime Minister John Turner.
Bauche is an adjudicator for OSAC and a popular art educator and guest artist. Between January and May annually over the past 10 years, Bauche has acted as the artist in residence for L’Arche Comox Valley, Vancouver Island. The award winning “Through the Eyes of the Cree” educational publications designed by Bauche is recommended by Saskatchewan Manitoba and Alberta Learning and are in every school in Saskatchewan.
