VIRL and CBC partner a second time for a special broadcast amplifying Island Voices

Vancouver Island Regional Library is proud to partner with CBC again for a special live broadcast of All Points West from our Cowichan branch on Friday, November 14 from 3 pm to 6 pm.

This exciting event, hosted by CBC’s Jason D’Souza, will highlight stories that matter to the Cowichan Valley and celebrate the importance of storytelling. The program will also feature live music from the Cowichan-based, Juno Award-winning band Blue Moon Marquee.

CBC is honoured to broadcast from the traditional and unceded territory of Cowichan Tribes, and the event will include a welcome from Deputy Chief Audrey George of the Cowichan Tribes First Nation.

This collaboration between CBC and VIRL follows the success of similar events earlier this year with the Port Alberni branch. These collaborations are a meaningful opportunity to amplify local voices and strengthen community connections.

A special thank you to Library Manager Annette Van Koevering and the Cowichan branch staff for hosting this exciting event.
