A beginner’s course on understanding the Internet and more:

  • Understanding the Internet and tips on how to use popular tools
  • How WIFI works and connecting your device at home, in the community and when you travel
  • Staying safe on the Internet and understanding most common scams, viruses, etc.
  • Conversation on what an app is, how to purchase, what is free and why it is free.

This event is BYOD (Bring your own device) with an options to borrow our technology if necessary. Please call the library at 250-287-3655 to register, or register in person.


Your Instructor:

Kat Eddy is the Executive Director of the Campbell River Literacy Association. The Campbell River Literacy Association with support of a team of volunteers provides services to adults and families to meet their education and life long learning goals.  She has been teaching basic computer literacy in the Campbell River community since 2010 and is always excited about being able to share her knowledge with others.
