Ann Milligan is a teacher, farmer and program director who has worked with children in a wide variety of settings. She believes we are all connected in the human and natural world. Ann spent lots of childhood time in Nature and currently lives next to a pond where she spends lots of time observing the local critters in their daily activities.
In one small pond in Cumberland otter pups play, herons fall in love and tiny frogs sing in a joyful chorus. Cumberland Critters invites readers to take a peek into the lives of nine special critters found in, on and around this vibrant pond. Through the stories children are invited to imagine becoming each of the critters.
