Come join us for a fun-filled afternoon! The Queer Agenda & Vancouver Island Regional Library – Nanaimo Harbourfront have teamed up to bring you this FREE event for the the 2SLGBTQIA community and allies!
For our first in the Crow Trade Event Series, we will be playing boardgames after the trade. To participate in The Crow Trade bring lightly used clothing pieces, trinkets and treasures that are ready for a new home. Perhaps you fancy trading all your licorice for some chocolate….or a shiny ring for some toffee. All items must be in great condition, small enough to carry home, food prepackaged / nut free. Bonus point for items with lore. Please be mindful and take any unclaimed items home with you.
Then share snacks and tea while making new friends and playing a boardgame (or two!). Travel the silk road in a caravan to deliver spices in Century: Spice Road! Or test your vocabulary with classic word games like Scrabble or Bananagrams. Make up your own rules in the card game Fluxx! Try being a spymaster and discover which undercover agent is which in Codenames. Combine luck and strategy in Downforce, a car racing game where you both bet who will be the winner and drive a car yourself. See if you can survive the winter in the pack-building cooperative Indigenous game Wolves. Bring out your inner cat with Exploding Kittens, a cat-centric version of Russian Roulette. Pick winning sushi combos and some imaginary edamame in Sushi Go Party! And more!
