Coexisting with Carnivores: Cougars, Black Bears, and Wolves
Presented by Wild Wise

Living on Vancouver Island requires the knowledge and understanding of the wildlife existing among us. Join Wild Wise at the library for an evening of discussing our local carnivores and their frequency in Sooke. We’ll touch on the lifecycles and behaviors of these animals, in addition to discussing ways we can peacefully coexist by securing attractants and better understanding how to prevent human/wildlife conflicts.

Presenter: Mollie Cameron works professionally as a Wildlife Naturalist and Photographer. She is a dedicated volunteer and President of Wild Wise with a passion for Vancouver Islands’ often misunderstood predator population. Mollie believes that education is the first step in promoting peaceful coexistence with carnivores.
