We will be hosting a reading with Michel Drouin as he celebrates his new book Past the End of the Road: A North Island Boyhood, a frank and humorous memoir recounts the freedom of his childhood in midcentury Port Hardy.
Michel Drouin’s writing career began in high school, when he was hired as a high school correspondent by the North Island Gazette. After graduation, Drouin worked in the forestry and fishing industries, until he was hired as an assistant editor of the United Fishermen and Allied Workers Union newspaper, The Fisherman, in 1990.
Copies of the books will be sold by Coho Books at the event. Tea and refreshments will be provided.
