Dave & Rosemary moved to the Chilcotin in 1986. During their time there, Dave worked as a park ranger and became heavily involved in environmental protection and the development of land use plans for many conservation areas. Rosemary had a background in advertising and public relations in Vancouver before they met and left the urban life for the wilderness. Together they spent nearly 30 years carving out a life in the mountains. They both now reside on Gabriola Island where they traded snow for sand. They both continue to be involved in local environmental issues and remain active in their community.
