Art Lab is a program designed to give adults the opportunity to learn about and create art in a fun and relaxed environment. It is about experimentation, improvisation, and learning-by-doing, with a focus on the process of creating something, rather than the outcome. Join us to try out a different art project or craft each month.

Monday, June 17 – Printmaking: Monotypes

A monotype involves the transfer of ink from a smooth non-absorbent surface made of something like metal, glass, or polycarbonate, onto paper, canvas, or some other artist-selected surface. One then applies pressure to the back of the paper (using a press or other tool, or by hand) which transfers the ink from the plate to the paper.

Space is limited and registration is required. Use the “Register” button below.
